A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Joining Milestone Mortgage Solutions as Finance Manager, Joseph brings his education, experience, and customer focus to the organization. His long-term goals are to ensure the continued financial soundness of the company, provide timely and accurate financial reporting to inform sound decision-making for the business, and utilize the finance function to help serve the needs of all MMS customers and support the company’s mission.
Joseph started his career in the finance field in 2010 after earning his B.S in Accountancy from Providence College in 2008, spending time at Exeter Job Corps as their Staff Accountant before getting promoted to Finance Manager after several years. While here, Joseph exemplified how to use the finance function to ensure all operational goals are met while providing excellent customer service.
Joseph took a role with Citizens Bank in 2016 as a Senior Staff Accountant in their Consumer Specialty Operations line of business, before being promoted to Accounting Manager leading a team of four. In these roles, Joseph handled journal entries and reporting for many consumer loan products. He worked cross-functionally with numerous areas to ensure accounting data was accurate through process improvement, while ensuring that accounting policies were followed strictly.
Joseph would go on to have a role in Corporate Reporting, tracking the capital metrics for the bank and holding company. Later on, he would take a role in Corporate Finance, performing budgeting and forecasting for the results for the leasing business. In pivoting outside of accounting, Joseph has demonstrated the desire to take on new challenges, learn new regulations and reporting requirements, and broadly understand the facets of a complex financial business.
Joseph currently lives in East Providence, RI, with his girlfriend Gabrielle. He enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as his dog, Frank, and cat, Stella, watching sports, playing guitar, and trying new restaurants.
